Beatrix is an AI-powered life guidance platform operated from the Netherlands. When we say “Beatrix,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean the entity behind askbeatrix.com. Our registered office is in the Netherlands.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what we need to provide the service:

3. Why we collect it (legal basis)

Under the GDPR, we process your data on the following legal bases:

Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)) — your account details, birth data, and conversation content are necessary to deliver the service you subscribed to.
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — technical logs for security and fraud prevention.
Explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a)) — where required for AI processing of potentially sensitive personal data shared in your conversations.

4. AI processing disclosure

Beatrix uses advanced artificial intelligence language models to provide personalised guidance. When you send a message, your conversation content (including relevant birth chart data) is processed by third-party AI model providers solely to generate responses within the service.

These providers act as sub-processors under our instructions and are bound by Data Processing Agreements. Your conversations are not used to train AI models. We apply data minimisation measures — only the context necessary for generating a meaningful response is transmitted.

We may change or supplement our AI providers over time to improve the quality of the service. Any such change will be subject to the same data protection standards described in this policy.

5. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in Supabase, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). This means your personal data remains within the European Economic Area. Supabase operates under a Data Processing Agreement that ensures GDPR compliance.

We share data only with the following service providers, all of whom operate under Data Processing Agreements:

Erasure — request deletion of your personal data

Withdraw consent — revoke your consent for AI processing at any time

9. How to exercise your rights

You can exercise your rights in two ways:

10. Cookies

Beatrix uses essential cookies only — strictly for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. No consent is required for essential cookies under the ePrivacy Directive, but we inform you of their use regardless.

11. Children

Beatrix is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at privacy@askbeatrix.com and we will delete it promptly.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Beatrix after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
